Very busy Sat lunch at 1:30pm. The place was packed inside & outside on the patio. Quite a long wait to order. Grabbed a table while my friend ordered food. Live entertainment today. 2 different groups during our 1-1/2 hr stay. My friend thought the long line to order was due to the multiple jobs this poor cashier was responsible for. It did take awhile to get our food. Understandable as there wasn't an empty seat. My friend ordered the Kalbi plate, haupia, & bento to go. She was REALLY pleased with her choice. I ordered the oxtail soup with rice & mac salad sides. Oh wow! The oxtail soup was VEEEERY good. 4 meaty oxtails. Tender. Flavorful & meaty oxtails. Great choice. My Hawaiian born friend asked about Aunty Maile's. Said the food tastes just like the islands. What a compliment right? Sorry, no photos. Guess we'll have to go back. During the week. We're old & can't stand long.

Be prepared to wait in line. Arrived at 11:30pm and waited in line about 40min before we were able to order. But the food is definitely worth the wait. 5/5 Kalbi short ribs. Cooked perfectly, tender with a little crisp on the outside. I didn't realize it doesn't come with sauce, so if you're used to that ask for sauce (extra) 5/5 Local deluxe eggs cooked to order but currently $1 more than menu price because of the egg situation. Spam and Portuguese sausage had a good crispyness to it. 3/5 rice was ok. I might have just got the portion that came from the bottom of the rice cooker so it had the film where it's all one piece 4/5 PineNana pie crust was the best part. More pineapple than banana in the filling but good seasoning and not as runny as an apple pie filling 4/5 Mac salad nut only because I like mine a little more creamy

Before my dad dropped me off to LAX, I told him we should visit Aunty Maile's. Bought a kalbi short rib plate and spam musubi to go. Ribs were flavorful and lip smacking good! Rice could've been softer and mac salad had a peppery taste but still a filling meal before my flight. Eyeing the garlic shrimp or loco moco for a future visit.

You know what I was here for! Ended up with the mixed plate (kalbi short rib & chicken furikake) portion sizes are pretty good! Add a little sriracha to give it a bit more flavor but overall, 9.3 outta 10! The place can get a bit busy even when there's live music going! Service will always feel like family, I love it. Much love

Really good Hawaiian food. My favorite item that I always get is the furikaki chicken. Never came on a Saturday, so I don't know if this is a regular thing but they have a live band playing music outside. The place was super packed when I came and the line was at the door. All the workers were super nice.

Heard good things about this place on social media so I came on a Saturday during lunch to check it out. Parking here was tricky, the lot was full but I was able to snag a spot when a car left. The place was busy and they had live music was playing outside which was nice. I ordered the two item combo and I picked the furikake chicken and Galbi and it came with rice and macaroni salad. The wait did take awhile for the food to come out but was worth it cause everything was good. They gave me so much meat that I end up taking the leftovers home. The highlight for me was definitely the furikake chicken. It was well seasoned and the meat was juicy and tender. Overall would come back again if I'm in the area!

I thoroughly enjoy Aunty Maile's Hawaiian food--this is my second time coming back, and for good reason! My last mix plate of short ribs and garlic shrimp had me in a chokehold, lol. This place is incredibly popular--everyone loves coming here. While I was eating, I overheard that a party of 15 was on their way, which just goes to show how well-loved this spot is. The staff is super friendly and ensures everyone feels accommodated. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. While they didn't have music on Friday, they do offer it on Saturdays (which I experienced during my last visit). The ambiance truly gives off the feel of a local Hawaiian restaurant, with pictures throughout the space and even snacks from Hawaii, which is a nice touch. Can't wait to come back again!

2nd time coming here and loving it even more then the first time. There's always parking in the shopping plaza but both times I've came, once on a weekday and this time on a Saturday, the restaurant is packed. The only difference is on weekends, they apparently have bands playing and hula dancing as well. The Kalbi short ribs is def our favorite here and the macaroni salad and rice that comes with it pairs perfectly with it. We also tried the teriyaki chicken and poki avo style. Both are delicious! The teriyaki flavor is just right and chicken is soft. The tuna taste fresh and it's soft but next time I'd ask for less soy sauce as it was a bit too salty for me to eat it plain without rice. But that's personal preference so no complaints here. Overall: we love the service here and food is great for the price they charge. And judging by the amount of people that comes, everyone feels the same way. This is def our go to place when we're craving for Hawaiian food!

Finally got to try this place out and I loved it. If you are looking for some authentic island eats, this is the place to go. We stopped by on a Saturday early afternoon after a busy morning full of shopping. We were hungry so after looking up local food and going through reviews, we made our decision to stop by. The restaurant wasn't busy which was a plus. I have passed by other times and there was always a line. As soon as walking in, the cashier greeted us and took our order. So many good food to choose from and at a great price. The restaurant istself is not too big. Lucily there is outdoor seating in case it gets busy. The kitchen is right there in the dining room so you can see the cooks, making the delicious food from the menu. Be sure to check out the specials before placing your order. There were a few deals I wish have seen prior to my order. I ended up ordering the Katsu Bento box and it was such a great amount of food that tasted AMAZING!!. The bento box came with, obviously, katsu, Portuguese sausage, SPAM, with white rice sprinkled with Furikake. All this for $10, so amazing. Overall, ambience and food is authentic. I will definitely be back to try out the other favorites and to hear some live island tunes during the summer. Can't wait to see you again, Aunty Maile!

Combo plate - you can ask to get the beef stew as one of the options on Saturday. Also for sesame chicken. Portions were large, enough for two meals! On weekends they have live music playing outside which is so much fun. You line up to order and pay at the counter then find a seat. The line looks a little long but goes by very quickly
